Solar farms and BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) installations demand distribution transformers that operate reliably under three extreme conditions: wide DC-to-AC inversion voltage swings, harsh outdoor environments with high UV and dust exposure, and frequent load cycling between peak generation and zero-output night mode.

Ordinary distribution transformers degrade rapidly under these thermal-mechanical stress cycles, leading to insulation breakdown and premature failure — often within 3–5 years instead of the designed 25+ year solar plant lifespan.

Our Transformer Solution

We deploy cast-resin dry-type distribution transformers (SCB series) and hermetically sealed oil-immersed distribution transformers (S13-M series) purpose-engineered for PV and BESS step-up applications, typically 0.4kV/10kV–35kV.

SCB Series Dry-Type

Class F/H insulation (155°C/180°C temperature rise), inherently flame-retardant and self-extinguishing — ideal for containerized BESS installations where fire safety is paramount. The epoxy resin encapsulation eliminates partial discharge risk under inverter-induced harmonic distortion.

S13-M Oil-Immersed Series

Fully sealed corrugated tank design with nitrogen-blanketed oil preservation — zero oil contact with ambient air, preventing moisture ingress and oxidation. No-load loss as low as 65W for a 100kVA unit, meeting IE4-level efficiency standards critical for maximizing LCOE.

Key Advantage: Our distribution transformers incorporate double-sided M5-grade grain-oriented silicon steel cores and step-lap joint construction, reducing no-load current to ≤1.2% — significantly below the industry average of 1.8%–2.5%. This directly translates to lower parasitic losses during the 12+ hours of daily zero/minimal generation.
